Rahm to cut 911 services for non-emergency responses Anne Sorock February 6, 2013 Hood Report, Rebel Pundit Chicago will no longer send police to your house for certain incidents, such as burglaries, vehicle theft, criminal damage to property, and others, if the suspect is no longer at your house. These cuts, according to the Chicago Police Department, will save 44 officers a day, allowing them to respond to the crisis-level murder rate on the streets of Chicago. Mayor Rahm Emanuel also has announced that they’re moving 200 officers from administrative duties out onto the street. No word on how Emanuel’s plan to spend $91 million on protected bike lanes is going.
