Plea: Incompetence W.C. Augustine May 14, 2013 Rebel Pundit Plea: Incompetence Although it has been shown no confusion existed among on-site State Department or Intelligence personnel about the source of the Benghazi attack last year, it took the Obama Administration weeks to sort out the truth while in the meantime they laid blame on a video for which there was no evidence. Well documented requests for more security were not heeded because the need was not substantiated. Attempts to assist State Department personnel under attack were forbidden because it was unclear whether any rescue could be successful or timely. (Invites one to ponder whether Roosevelt would have withheld troops from Europe under this cautionary protocol). Plea: Incompetence ________ According to documents the IRS’s chief counsel and deputy commissioner the IRS knew of the targeting of conservative groups on August 4, 2011. In March 2012 IRS commissioner, Doug Shulman, under oath assured congress that no groups were being targeted. Acting commissioner Steven Miller has made assurances that “in no way” was screening politically motivated. With an inspector general’s report on the IRS due this week, lawsuits pending alleging political targeting by the IRS and continued inquiries in congress about the political activities of the IRS, the Obama Administration was unaware and shocked. Plea: Incompetence. ____________ The government secretly seized telephone records of AP reporters in Washington, New York and the main AP number in the House of Representatives. This included 20 telephones lines used by 100 reporters. The unprecedented act happened without the required notification of AP. This morning the White House issued a statement: “Other than press reports, we have no knowledge of any attempt by the Justice Department to seek phone records of the AP. We are not involved in decisions made in connection with criminal investigations, as those matters are handled independently by the Justice Department Plea: Incompetence ____________- Under the Justice Department’s ATF over 2000 firearms were allowed to be “gunwalked” into Mexico during operation Fast and Furious. Although the intent was to track the weapons, most were lost, but the some were found at numerous crime scenes both sides of the border. While Attorney General Holder remains in contempt of Congress for refusing to release documents, he maintains no knowledge of the operation. Plea: Incompetence ______________ The Vehicle Production Group, owned by an investment firm whose vice chairman was an adviser and fundraiser for President Obama, made vans for the disabled closed recently after receiving a $50 million loan from the Department of Energy. The company joins Solyndra in a long list of recipients of government green loans in default. . That 80% of Green Energy loans went to companies with an Obama backer connection and 19 have defaulted is strictly co-incidence and represents no indication of political preference, but rather poor underwriting and a tolerable risk/reward for public investment. Plea: Incompetence Belief in Incompetence or for-the-matter coincidences: Naivety Have a fulfilling and profitable day, W C (Bill) Augustine, www.atlasrising.tateauthor.com Although it has been shown no confusion existed among on-site State Department or Intelligence personnel about the source of the Benghazi attack last year, it took the Obama Administration weeks to sort out the truth while in the meantime they laid blame on a video for which there was no evidence.
