#IL02 Robin Kelly Blames Victims, Calls Aurora Psycho Shooter “Gentleman”

Rather than attend a candidate debate to replace Jesse Jackson in the 2nd District on April 4, held by the NAACP, Robin Kelly instead went to her own candidate forum. During the forum Kelly makes an outrageous and untrue claim about the Aurora, Colorado shooting while arguing against conceal and carry coming to Illinois.

Kelly tells consituents, that during the movie theater shooting, in Colorado, “in the movie they have conceal and carry, but nobody pulled out their guns um to kill the gentleman that um did all the damage that he did.”

Not only does Kelly blatantly lie to her constituents about the facts about the movie theater shootings, failing to mention that the movie theater was a “gun-free zone” and the people in the theater she accuses of doing nothing to stop the shooter, but she also refers to the psycho-lunatic murderer as “gentle man.”
