Chicago Teachers Union Turning on “Scab” Obama Brittany Clingen September 18, 2012 Rebel Pundit The members of the Chicago Teachers Union are fed up. However, their anger and frustration are not directed exclusively at Rahm Emanuel and CPS. Many CTU members have expressed disappointment in Obama’s response to the strike – now entering its 9th day. Emanuel, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have all made statements denouncing the strike. However, when Obama’s press secretary, Jay Carney, was asked about the conflict playing out in the president’s hometown, he responded with, “no comment.” [vsw id=”JB5mPv4swto” source=”youtube” width=”425″ height=”344″ autoplay=”no”] During interviews (see video above) conducted at two large CTU rallies, many teachers expressed disappointment in, as one substitute teacher put it, Obama’s “non-response response,” as well as his general stance on education reform. Several teachers went so far as to say they refuse to vote for Obama in November. Editor’s note: Even feminist-law students on Twitter are now turning on President Obama.
