Coward Mitt Romney Won’t Debate Newt rebelpundit December 2, 2011 Rebel Pundit 1 Comment Real Clear Politics is reporting that Human Events and RedState have attempted to host a Lincoln-Douglas style debate between GOP presidential candidates Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney. Guess which one isn’t scared? Yep, Newt is ready, willing and able to go toe to toe with Romney, however the intellectually inferior Romney said no. Funny how Herman Cain had no problem participating in the same style one-on-one debate last month. While this should hardly solidify Newt’s bid to be the nominee, this should put the nail in Mitt’s coffin, proving he is not even remotely competent enough to be any sort of legitimate candidate for President of the United States of America. But unless you ever believed the media’s opinion that he was good enough, this is nothing new. It wasn’t a harsh no, but it was a no.” A Gingrich spokesman confirmed to RCP that the candidate was interested and accepted the invitation, but a Romney spokeswoman didn’t return a request for comment.
