HeyJackass.com32 Shot, 5 Killed in Another Bloody Chicago Weekend Marie Dennis September 22, 2014 Hood Report, News The violence in Chicago continued this past weekend despite Mayor Rahm Emanuel claiming Chicago isn’t the ‘murder capitol.’ 32 were shot and 5 were killed, three from shootings and 2 from stabbings, according to HeyJackass.com. The Chicago Tribune provided a laundry list of many shot and wounded. The youngest victim was a 16-year old girl. A man shot near Garfield Park died Saturday night after he drove about mile east before flagging down police, one of at least 14 people shot in the city since mid-afternoon, authorities said. The man, 21, was shot in the chest about 6:50 p.m. Saturday in the 3900 block of West Ferdinand Street on the West Side, and drove north and east to the 3300 block of West Chicago Avenue, where police were flagged down, said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney. • A 16-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man were injured in a shooting around 9:45 p.m. Saturday in the 6000 block of South Paulina Street in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, said News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines. The two were at a party when a black-gray jeep pulled up and someone inside the car started shooting. The 16-year-old was shot in the foot, and the 19-year-old was shot in the back. Both were transported to Stroger hospital and are listed in stable condition, he said. HeyJackass.com reports there have been 32 homicides so far this September.
